I can't believe I missed this Evernote feature!

Hi Reader –

I had no idea about this feature!

Did you know that, on Evernote mobile, when looking at the notes list, you can swipe left on notes to access note functions???

Given that I’ve been using Evernote pretty much daily since 2009, and have an expert-level understanding of (nearly all?) the features, I was shocked (and delighted) to uncover this super functional feature!

I figured that if I didn't know it existed, then certainly others haven’t discovered it yet, either.

How I found it:

(and a quick training on Evernote’s new Pin to Notebook feature)

Evernote recently released a feature that lets you pin a note to the top of your notebook, called “Pin to Notebook”.

They first released the feature on desktop and then added it to mobile soon after.

Even though I knew they released it on mobile, I couldn’t find it.

So, during a recent Evernote product update call I get access to as a Evernote Certified Expert (learn more about my relationship with Evernote here), I asked Evernote's Head of Product where the "pin to notebook" feature was on mobile.

He said, “You just swipe left on the note in the note list to access the note options — it’s there.”

🤯 …wait, what? I had no idea I could swipe left on notes!

I pulled out my phone, swiped left on a note, and just like he said, there it was — the "More" (...) menu that includes the “Pin to Notebook” option!

This "swipe left" discovery happened during the two months when Pin to Notebook wasn’t available in the "More" options menu on mobile (like it is on desktop) – that’s why I couldn’t find it...it wasn’t where I was looking! Apparently I wasn't the only one who couldn't find it. Evernote added access to the feature via the "More" (...) options menu in Mobile v10.101.1:

So now you can "Pin to Notebook" two ways on mobile – swipe left in the note list, and through the "more" note options menu.

More Swipe Left Options:

Pin to Note is only one of your “swipe left” options. There are 3 action buttons: gray, green, and red.

Tapping on the gray "More" options button brings up all the note options (including Pin to Notebook). It’s the quickest way to access these on mobile.

The green button lets you download the note for offline access, and you can trash the note with the red button.

Did you know this option existed?! If you did, you have to tell me. Now that I know I can swipe left, I’m using it all the time.

Give it a try today.

Till next time,

Stacey 💚
